Cardiogen is a short synthetic peptide from the Russian 'Khavinson' bioregulator family, marketed for the heart. Like the rest of the family, the idea is that a tiny amino-acid sequence can nudge gene activity in its matching organ, here the heart muscle. The direct evidence is thin: the one animal study on record looked at tumor growth in aged rats, not heart function, so the heart claim leans mainly on that broader theory rather than cardiac research. The research is Russian, preclinical, hasn't been independently replicated in the West, there are no large human trials, and Cardiogen isn't FDA-approved.

Cardiogen is marketed as a heart "bioregulator," but direct research is limited and preclinical. According to PubMed, an animal study found that cardiogen injections dose-dependently inhibited the growth of a transplanted M-1 sarcoma in senescent rats, by promoting hemorrhagic necrosis and tumor-cell apoptosis and acting through the tumor's vascular network rather than by direct cytostatic action.[¹] That is an anticancer-adjacent finding, not a cardiac-function study; Cardiogen's heart association derives from the broader Khavinson tissue-specific framework.[²]
