What it is
Chonluten is a short synthetic peptide from the Russian 'Khavinson' bioregulator family, marketed for the lungs and airway lining, and derived from bronchial epithelial cells. In lab studies on immune cells it reduced production of the inflammatory signal TNF after a bacterial trigger, a finding cited as evidence for the broader idea that these short peptides can calm inflammation in their matching tissue. The evidence is Russian, limited to cell studies rather than human trials, hasn't been independently replicated, and Chonluten isn't FDA-approved.
What the research found
Chonluten is marketed as a lung "bioregulator." In a cell-line study of several related peptides, the Chonluten tripeptide reduced production of the inflammatory signal TNF in immune cells exposed to a bacterial trigger — a laboratory finding consistent with a broad tissue-specific peptide theory. There are no large controlled human trials showing Chonluten treats any condition.

Chonluten is a synthetic tripeptide (reported sequence Glu-Asp-Gly) in the "Khavinson" short-peptide bioregulator family, derived from bronchial epithelial cells. According to PubMed, a study of several Khavinson peptides in the human THP-1 monocyte/macrophage cell line found that the Chonluten tripeptide inhibited TNF production in immune cells exposed to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS), and — with the other peptides tested — reduced pro-inflammatory IL-6 and cell adhesion, consistent with a "TNF tolerance" anti-inflammatory mechanism.[¹] Among this family, Chonluten's clearest reported signal is this anti-inflammatory effect on immune cells.

### About the Khavinson bioregulators (shared framing)
The bioregulator / cytomedin/cytogen peptides were developed from the 1970s by Vladimir Khavinson and colleagues at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. Original "cytomedins" were organ-extract peptide complexes; the newer "cytogens" are synthetic short peptides proposed to have tissue-specific effects on the organ they derive from, under the group's "peptide theory of ageing."[²] Honest caveats: the evidence is overwhelmingly preclinical plus small, often non-blinded Russian studies; there are no large independent randomized trials; none are FDA-approved; and they are sold in Russia as injectables and supplements. Treat as an unproven research tradition.
